In short
Mobile Sensei is an app for practicing Japanese. Learning and progress work fully offline.
The app has no backend. Study progress, notes, plans, and settings are not sent over the network as part of the app’s features.
1. How data is stored
To keep progress and your settings between launches, the app saves information only on your device (a local database and Android preferences).
That information stays on the phone. It is removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app, according to how Android behaves.
2. Network and online features
The main learning experience does not require the internet and does not exchange study data with remote infrastructure run by the developer: the app has no such infrastructure.
Installing and updating through an app store is handled by the store and the operating system; their own terms and policies apply.
3. Notifications
If you enable reminders in settings, Android may show local notifications at the time you choose. The schedule is stored on the device.
4. Export
If you export your progress to a file yourself, the copy exists only where you save it.
5. Children
The app does not create child profiles or ask for data for that purpose. When the app is used, progress is stored locally on the device. Parents can restrict access using Android and the app store’s family controls.
6. Changes
If how the app works changes, we will update this text. The current version is always on this page; the date is shown above.
